Rigoberto Alfonso Gonzalez, 42, passed away on Wednesday August 23, 2023. He was preceded in death by his stepfather Apolinar Sanchez and nephew Junior Nieto. He was survived by his mother Carmen Gonzalez, his 5 children Zaida Cordova, Zahir Gonzalez, Briana Gonzalez, Leonel Gonzalez and Rigoberto Gonzalez, his sisters Xenia Reyes, Aixel Mendoza and his nieces and nephews Rosie Garcia, Dillan Garcia, Keven Garcia, Jr Nieto, Kassandra Nieto, and Emily Mendoza.
One of Rigo's great accomplishments was working with the Local Carpenters Union #665 for 18 years. Carpentry was not work for Rigo, it was his Passion. His work ethic was next to none; he put his whole heart into all of his work. He was constantly finding new ways to perfect his craft.
Rigo loved to spend his free time with family sharing stories and laughs. Rigo had the kind of laugh that just made you laugh along with him. When he was not with family, he loved to go out and ride his motorcycle. He also loved to come home after church on Sundays and watch the Cowboys lose.
Rigo knew God and held him dear to his heart, he kept his bible on his dresser and read every night. The Lord knew him well and they spoke often; he was strong in his faith and prayed daily. Rigo was a great man and a greater friend, father, brother, and son.
