Richard Aguirre, 71, of Amarillo passed away on Friday, October 19, 2018. Rosary will be said at 6:00 pm, Monday, October 22, 2018. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 pm, Tuesday, October 23, 2018 at St. Laurence Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Llano East Cemetery.
Richard Aguirre was born on February 5, 1947 in Crystal City, TX to Jose and Juana Aguirre. Richard was a truck driver in the cement industry. In 1966, Richard married the love of his life, Susie Villareal in Estelline, TX. Richard and Susie loved traveling the United States with their family. He was known for washing his car every Saturday morning, playing the guitar and was a replica car and coin collector. Richard was always happy and was a giving person, but most importantly was his deep love for wife, Susie and his family and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Pepe Aguirre.
He is survived by his wife of fifty two years, Susie; three daughters, Diana Pena and husband Roy, Berlinda Aguirre and husband Robert Guerra and Monisa Aguirre; three sons, Richard Aguirre Jr. and wife Lucy, Daniel Aguirre and wife Cindy and Armando Aguirre; ten grandchildren, Tano Joe Aguirre, Nichole Villalon, Jessica Aguirre, Olivia Vasquez, Vanessa Pena, Cassandra Pena, Josie Trejo, Roman Pena, Mathew Betancourt and Selena Betancourt; twenty two great grandchildren and numerous other family members and friends.
