Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Home Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Rd. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.
Reynaldo Pacheco Melendrez was born June 7, 1932 in Crystal City to Juan and Antonia Melendrez. He was a mechanic and worked in construction. Reynaldo loved boxing, traveling and dancing.
Reynaldo is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Jesus and Gilbert; his first wife, Virginia and a son, Raul Melendrez.
Reynaldo is survived by 3 daughters, Andrea Stringer, Rosie Zapata and Toni Gallegos; a son, Ray Melendrez, Jr.; his companion, Lucia Pedroza; 3 stepsons, Moses Mendez, Anthony and Martin Pedroza; a stepdaughter, Rose Denise Barron; a brother, Oscar Melendrez; a sister, Nena Sauceda; 11 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
