Rebecca"Becky" Ann Carnes

February 2, 1950 — July 16, 2011

Rebecca "Becky" Ann Carnes, 61 of Amarillo passed away on July 16, 2011.  Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 Coulter Rd., Amarillo, TX.

A celebration of her life will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, July 21st at Trinity Fellowship Church, North Ministry Center with Pastor Adam Widowski, officiating.

Becky was born on February 2, 1950, to Carroll and Lena Ruth Slovacek, in Perryton, Texas. She was a long time resident in Booker, Texas and worked for many years at Ochiltree General Hospital until she moved to Amarillo. Her loving, spirited and outgoing personality attracted people everywhere she went. The friendships she made will always be remembered. She loved her family dearly and cherished each moment spent with her grandchildren. She was a strong willed, unselfish and compassionate person. Her faith in God was unstoppable and relished the fact that she was saved through Jesus Christ. She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.

The family would like to express a special thank you to Dr. Scott Celinski of Baylor University Medical Center for his kindness and compassion during this difficult time.

Her survivors include her 3 sons, Robert Carnes, her favorite and wife Shanna of Amarillo, TX., Rodney Carnes, her favorite and wife Kari of Mustang, OK., Ricky Carnes, her favorite of Fort
Worth, TX., a brother, Shayne Slovacek of Norman, OK., 6 grandchildren; Brooke, Blake, Bayley, Braxton, Taylor, and Katie, and a host of other relatives and friends.

The family requests that memorials be made to The American Cancer Society or Baylor Medical Center, Dallas, TX.
