Raymond C. Latta

Ray C. Latta, 79, of Amarillo passed away on June 1, 2021  at home under the care of Hospice and his family. Ray was born in St Louis, Mo. but soon moved to California where he attended school in Sacramento.

Ray moved to Texas in 1971 where he remained until his passing. He married Ora Lea in 1975. He was an auto mechanic and owned a Fina service station and several car washes before retiring in 2007.

Ray was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved the outdoors.  He loved to travel by RV and after retiring, he and Ora Lea traveled all around the US. He was also a motorcyclist and scuba diver.

Ray was a past Worshipful Master of Masonic Lodge 1330 in Amarillo.

He is survived by his wife, Ora Lea, a son, Ray E Latta of Amarillo another son, Michael of Gurley, Alabama and a daughter, Pamela and her husband Terry Avey of Amarillo along with several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
