Ralph John Anderson, 84, of Amarillo died on Saturday, April 9, 2016. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.
Ralph was born on December 9, 1931 in Lyndon, TN to Clyde and Cecelia Anderson. Ralph proudly served his country in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany. He married the love of his life, Opal Thomas on November 25, 1951 in Currant, MS.. Ralph worked for Affiliated Foods as a truck driver until retiring after thirty six years of service. He was a hard working man that enjoyed gardening and could always be found outside in his yard. He had the best yard of the neighborhood. Ralph loved to fish and play pool, but most of all, he loved spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three sons, Johnny, James and Ralph Jr.
He is survived by his wife, Opal; two daughter in laws, Becky Anderson of Norman, OK and Carol Anderson of Monroe, LA; three grandsons, John Anderson and wife Kimberly, Donnie Anderson and wife Melissa and Brian Anderson and six great grandchildren.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:30 -6:30 pm, Monday, April 11, 2016 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road.
