Ponsiano Rubalcaba

Ponsiano Rubalcaba, 80, formerly of Amarillo passed away on Thursday, November 29, 2018 in LaPorte, TX. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 8, 2018 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Ponsiano was born in Lamesa, TX to Anastacio and Lupe Rubalcaba. He worked for Amarillo Gear and retired after many years. Ponsiano loved riding everything from his horse"Honky" to his motorcycles and bicycles. He was a member of a Mariachi Band where he played the guitar. Ponsiano was a hard working man who cared for everyone, but he especially loved his family and spending time with them.

He was preceded death by his wife, Margaret; a daughter, Rowena Rubalcaba; his parents, Anastacio and Lupe; a brother, Junior Rangel and a sister, Carmen Rubalcaba.

He is survived by three daughters, Rita Beatty and husband Jim, Roxanne Jefferson and husband Chris, and Cynthia Rubalcaba; a son, Joel Rubalcaba and wife Elizabeth; a sister, Rosa Rangel; two brothers, Joe Rubalcaba and wife Orilla and Freddie Rangel; nine grandchildren, Christopher Rubalcaba, Jefferson Rubalcaba, Toni Rubalcaba, Isaiah Weatherton, Tristain Weatherton, Megan Minor, Trent Haire, Samuel Jefferson and Bo Jefferson and four great grandchildren, Merryanne Minor, Blake MInor Jr., Jayla Weatherton and Isaiah Weatherton Jr. and many other family members.
