Phone Kham

Phone Kham, 95, passed away on January 18, 2024, in Amarillo, Texas.  Phone was born on March 10, 1928, to Lat and Phim Kham in Laos. She was married to Tha and had eight children.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and three children, Khansone Champaphanith and Kaiphone Champaphanith, Jitprasoung Champaphanith.  She is survived by her children: Boaloy Nasedone, Manikhone Dara, Manivone Mingboupha, and Phonevilay Sengkhounmany, Sayavong Champaphanith, 19 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Phone loved her family.  She was very family-oriented and was called “Maethu” lovingly by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was strong-willed, smart, and stubborn, and was also a very strong supporter of the Lao Buddhist Temple.
