Peggy Jean Christian

Peggy Jean Christian, 80, of Amarillo passed away Monday, December 11, 2023. She was the middle daughter of Noah Deak and Mary Busby born on December 3, 1943 in Grand Prairie, TX.

She was a bookkeeper for Auto Nation for over 20 years, until her retirement. Peggy was one of the first members of the Sandie Classics – Amarillo High School Sandie Alumni for more than 30 years, she also became the recording secretary.

Peggy’s passions were traveling and spending time with her four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She loved coloring Easter eggs, playing UNO, SKIPBO, dominoes, jigsaw puzzles and was the Wheel of Fortune Champ, as well as the master of making “deviled eggs”. Peggy also taught the kids the art of black olive finger puppets. She was a spiritual person that loved decorating for the holidays, and a champion chili cooker. Peggy was the number one self-proclaimed fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

She is survived by her two children Mark, Karen and husband David, four grandchildren, five great – grandchildren, brother Steven Busby and sister Doris Bryant.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Dylan Smith, DT Coutee-Thomas, Charlie Wheeler, James Whiteley, Carroll Jones, Janet Wolbach and Rachel Villalovos.

In lieu of flowers donation can be made to Kinder Heart Hospice.
