Pedro R. Juarez, 87 of Amarillo passed away August 24, 2011.
The Holy Rosary will be at 7:00pm on Friday, August 26, 2011 LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road, Amarillo, TX with Deacon Alfredo Alrcon.
The Funeral Mass at 11:00am Saturday, August 27, 2011 at St. Laurence Catholic Church, 2300 N. Spring, Amarillo, TX with Rev. Gabriel Garcia as Celebrant. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.
Pedro R. Juarez was born on March 23, 1924 in Mexico to his parents, Librado and Andrea Juarez. He attended school in Mexico. He was married for over 68 years to Maria, the love of his life, who preceded him in death in 2010. He was a policeman in Mexico for over six years. When he moved to Amarillo he worked in construction and then worked for Western Sales & Testings. Pedro was a member of St. Laurence Catholic Church for many years. He enjoyed movies and music from Pancho Villa because of his family history; His father and his uncle were soldiers for Pancho Villa. He also loved horses and all kinds of animals. He especially loved getting together with his family. He was loved and will be missed so much.
Mr. Juarez is now in Heaven with his wife, Maria and their son, Luis Antonio Juarez who preceded him in death.
Survivors include a daughter and care-giver Maria Alanis of Amarillo and five other daughters, Dolores Bencomo of Chih. Mexico, Manuela Juarez of Amarillo, Bertha Alice J. Gonzales of Mexicali, Baja, Calif., Hermelinda Aguilar of Amarillo, Maggie Mojica of Panhandle, TX; three sons Librado Juarez, Pedro Juarez Jr. and Adalbertao Juarez all of Amarillo; 48 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great grandchildren.
