Pauline (Ruthart) Lindley, 93
Born on September 4, 1928 in Canyon, Texas to Leslie and Nora Ruthart. She married David Carlton (D.C.) Lindley, Jr. on May 8, 1949. They had three children Davida Dane, Armetha Shapley and David Lindley.
Pauline (Polly) Lindley was a strong, loving Godly woman with a sweet servant’s heart. Proverbs 31:1-31 was a perfect description of her. She loved life, her family and was a wonderful grandmother. Laughter and fun followed her with family and friends. She was a Sunday School Teacher, a second mom for many college students and was always helping others. She will be greatly missed.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, parents, 8 brothers, 1 sister and one granddaughter, Shelley Dane.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Davida Dane and husband, Jackie. Armetha Shapley and husband, Mike. One son, David Lindley and wife, Kim. Nine grandchildren, Shane Rogers and wife Ashley, Tonya Moseley, Jaycie Dane, Ginger Dane and husband Roger, Stephanie Sumpter, Tyson Shapley and wife Rebecca, Derrick Shapley, Jared Lindley and wife Kasha and Lauren Lindley. 23 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.
There will be a celebration of life held on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 2:00 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Chapel, 8310 Coulter Rd in Amarillo, Texas.
The family wanted to say a special thank you to the staff at Hillside Height’s Rehabilitation Center for all the wonderful care over the past 4 years and to Kendred Hospice Care.
