Paula L Welch

Paula L. Welch, 78, passed away on September 4, 2021 in Amarillo, TX.  Due to current pandemic restrictions, a private memorial service will be held at Memory Gardens with her immediate family.

Paula was born on September 26, 1942 to Geneva Brower in Sayre, OK.  In 1948, A.L. Griggs became the father figure in her life when he married Geneva.  In 1958, Paula met Wayne Welch at a coffee shop she worked at after school.  They married 12 days later on December 12, 1958.  Wayne was the love of her life until his passing in 2018, and she was ready to be with him again for the rest of eternity.

Paula is survived by two of her three children:  Deborah Solis, and Gregory Welch – and three grandchildren:  Darbi Donaldson, Bailey Fenwick, and Amelia Solis.

She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and daughter, Sheila Cunningham.

The family wants to thank the staff at Moore Assisted Living for providing loving care to Paula.  They were like family to her in the years after Wayne passed away.
