Paul Eugene Pickett, 68, of Amarillo passed from this life on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. Family and friends will gather to celebrate his life at 10:00 am, Friday, January 26, 2018 in LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter Road.
Paul was born on February 25, 1949 in Brush, Colorado to Ora and Leta Pickett. He grew up in Colorado where he graduated from high school. Paul married Debby Jo Renzelman on September 6, 1967 in
Fort Morgan, Colorado. He was a welder by trade and owned and operated Pickett Millwright Service in Dumas, Texas. He was a man of many interests where he enjoyed antique John Deere tractors, football, bowling, trains, elk hunting and playing Texas hold'em. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Debby Pickett; children, Troy Pickett, Kimberly Pickett and Warren Ahlden, Leslie Wasson and husband Jamey and Gaye Boyd and husband Michael; grandchildren, Angela Pickett and Johnny Moore, Austin Pickett, Alex Pickett, Brooke Wasson and Lance Wasson; great grandson, Jadyn Moore; brothers, Floyd Pickett and wife Betty and Irvin Pickett and wife Nancy; and several nieces and nephews.
