Patricia L. Sanchez, 71, of Amarillo died on Friday, October 14, 2016. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Tuesday, October 18, 2016 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road.
Patricia was born on July 5, 1945 in Clayton, New Mexico to Jose A. and Maria T. Leal. She grew up in Clayton where she graduated from high School. She married Erminio A. Sanchez on June 10, 1961 in Clayton, New Mexico. They moved to Amarillo where they raised their children. Pat worked as a bus driver for the City of Amarillo until her retirement in 2014. She enjoyed fishing and spending time with her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Erminio A. Sanchez, two sons, Victor M. Sanchez and John D. Sanchez and a brother, Jimmy C. Leal.
She is survived by her children, Narciso Sanchez and wife Alison, Alandria A. Sanchez, Andres C. Sanchez, Ernest Sanchez and wife Sylvia and Genevieve Santos, eighteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
The family will receive guest on Monday, October 17, 2016 from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
