Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 1, 2012 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors 8310 S. Coulter Rd. with Rev. Brad Foster of Calvary Baptist Church, Dumas officiating. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. August 31, 2012.

Mr. Frith was born May 28, 1944 in Borger to Woodrow Wilson “Curley” and Delberta Faye “Bert” Frith. He graduated from Amarillo High School in 1962. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He married Deanie Staats on July 4, 1996 in Fritch. Mr. Frith retired from Lucent Technologies formerly AT&T after 30 years of service. After retiring he and his wife Deanie owned and operated Panhandle Area Telephone Service for 15 years. He was a lifelong Borger and Amarillo resident. He never met a stranger and was known throughout the panhandle for his chili cookoff’s and his work with the Make-A-Wish foundation. Mr. Frith was also known by many as their “Telephone Man” and was known for giving without wanting accolades. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife Deanie of the family home; his son Cory of Amarillo; his stepsons Chad Burrow of Souix Falls, SD and Shawn Burrow of Dumas; his stepdaughter Dena Hair and husband Cliff of Midland; his sister Peggy Foster of Borger; his brother Jack Frith and wife June of Plano and his grandchildren Kailee Burrow, Mathew Hair and Taylor Hair.
