Pablo Orta, 54, died Wednesday, May 28, 2014.
Services will be held at Amarillo Fellowship Church on Saturday, May 31, 2014 at 10 a.m. followed by graveside services at Llano Cemetery East with the Pastor Richie Brown, of Amarillo Fellowship Church officiating. A visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, May 30, 2014 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter Rd.

Mr. Orta was born in Weslaco, Texas.  He married Dalia De La Cruz in 1996 and they raised five children.  He served in United States Marine Corps from 1977-1981.  He worked as the combo manager for Tarpley Music and later opened Pablo’s Music.  He played guitar with the Worship Team at Amarillo Fellowship.  He shared his passion for guitar playing and his testimony of Jesus with everyone he came in contact with.  He impacted the lives of many with his kindness and his genuine smile.  He was a loving husband, a dedicated father and an awesome PePaw.  He was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, loved going to the movies, spending time with family, playing board games, and traveling with his wife.
He graduated from Hereford High School in 1977.  He also attended WTA&M.
He is survived by his wife; four sons, Jeremiah Orta of Amarillo, D.J. Contreras of San Diego, CA, Daniel Contreras and his wife, Dalphine of Amarillo, D’Michael Contreras of Amarillo; one daughter, Rebecca Orta and her husband, David Bruner of Baton Rouge, LA.  He has 4 granddaughters and 1 grandson.  He has two brothers; Noe Orta and wife, Maggie of Hereford, Ismael Orta of Amarillo; two sisters; Martha Orta-Ainslie of Amarillo and Rosario Rivera and husband, Rick of  Odessa; and a host of nieces and nephews.
