Orlando "OB" Long, 92, of Amarillo died Sunday, April 6, 2014. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 10, 2014 with Associate Pastor Perry Hunsaker of St. Paul United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery.

O.B. was born on April 27, 1921 to Wilmer and Florence Long in Philadelphia, PA.. O.B. served his country in the National Guard and was a member of St. Paul Methodist Church. O.B. worked for Sears in the automobile department until he retired. O.B. loved to bowl and go fishing. He was an avid golfer who played at Ross Rogers and even had a hole-in-one. He loved spending time with his family and traveling to Arizona and different sightseeing trips.

He was preceded in death by his wife Vivian, two brothers, Wilmer and Eddie, a sister Janet, and two granddaughters, Kimberly Haraden and Denise Long.

He is survived by two daughters; Connie Crossland and husband John of Amarillo and Cheryl Boland and husband Pete of Buffalo, Missouri; one son, John Long and wife Sandy of Verona, MIssouri; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

The family will be receiving friends from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 4317 I-40 West, Amarillo, Texas.
