Opal Joe Brazile

February 6, 1918 — May 26, 2012

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday in LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Coulter Chapel. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St.

Opal Joe was born Feb. 6, 1918, to Virgil and Rena Jones. She graduated from high school in Dayton. She then moved to Amarillo, where she was a food service worker for the school system. Opal Joe enjoyed her hobby as a seamstress and was a wonderful cook.

She was preceded in death by three children, Thomas, Melvin and Clarence Brazile; a brother, Howard Jones; and a sister, Charlene Dern.

Survivors include a son, Tommy Robbins and wife Sandra of Combine; three daughters, Sandra Seay, Sheila Junell and husband Brent and Beverly Miller
and husband Kent, all of Amarillo; three sons, Charles Brazile and wife Bobbie of Siloam Springs, Ark., Jimmy Brazile of Decatur and Terry Brazile and wife Lauren of Valle de Oro; four siblings, Louise Montgomery of Springfield, Ore., Eloise Paige of Fort Worth, Willie Willis of Sulphur Springs and John Jones of Othello, Wash.; 20 grandchildren; and 45 great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Olivia’s Angels at BSA Hospice, P.O. Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105.
