Nyangok Jeik Puot “PG”, 30, of Amarillo, passed away July 25, 2022. He was born January 1, 1992 in Ulang, South Sudan to his mother, Jackline Makuach.
PG was a kind, humble and loving person who respected everyone. He was a hard working young man and was employed at JBS. He was a responsible person who always took care of his siblings and needy people. He was from Lou Nuer Community sub clan of Nuer Community. Nyangok finished his primary school in one of the boarding schools in Nairobi, Kenya and high school in Westbrook Maine, ME in 2013.
PG will be dearly missed by his family members, friends, colleagues and the South Sudanese Community at Amarillo and all over the States. He is survived by his mother, Jackline Makuach, a daughter, three brothers and three sisters.
Visitation will be August 12, 2022 from 4 to 8 PM and funeral services will be, Saturday, August 13, 2022 starting at 10 AM at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Home, 1505 Martin Road, Amarillo, TX 79107. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery at 14200 I-27, Amarillo, TX 79119.
Reception after the cemetery will be held at Amarillo African Community Church of the Nazarene, 3411 SE 13th Street, Amarillo, Texas 79104. Please call Rev. Michael Gatkek at (817)492-6859 if you need assistance.
