Norma Aileen Koenig, 85, of Amarillo died on Friday, November 14, 2014. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, November 18, 2014 at St. Laurence Catholic Church with Father Ed Sweeney as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.
Norma Aileen Koenig was born on January 29, 1929 in Canadian to William and Lola Clark. She graduated from Amarillo High School and married Albert Koenig on June 20, 1949 in Amarillo. She loved to cook and bake for her family. Aileen loved to dance, sing and go bowling but most of all, Aileen loved to laugh.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Albert and three brothers.
She is survived by one daughter, Kathryn Gilbert and husband David of Amarillo; three sons, J. Landon Koenig and wife Bobbye of Howardwick, David Koenig and fiancee Kim and Chris Koenig and wife Becky, both of Amarillo; two sisters, Joyce and husband Johnny of Pasadena, TX and Linda of Bowersville, GA; eleven grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be receiving friends from 6:30 - 8:00 pm, Monday, November 17, 2014 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road.
