Norma Delores Beckman

Norma Delores Beckman, 89, of Canyon passed away on Friday, October 11, 2019. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am, Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at St. Ann's Catholic Church with Monsignor Joe Bixenman as Celebrant. Burial will be at 2:00 pm, Mountain time in Clayton Memorial Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, Monday, October 14, 2019 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel.

Delores was born on September 19, 1930 in Hereford, TX to John and Frona Phillipp. She graduated from Hereford High School and married her high school sweetheart, Louis Beckman on September 4, 1948 in Hereford. Delores and Louis farmed in several locations throughout the Texas panhandle and Clayton, NM. They owned and operated Louie's Farmers Market in Clayton for over twenty years. Delores was a devout Catholic and was very involved in her church and community in Clayton. She was also a fantastic seamstress who was a very humble and organized lady who always put other's interest first. She loved doing all of the cooking for her family and enjoyed getting her family together and she will be greatly missed by everyone who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Louis, her son, John and her brother, Stanley.

She is survived by her son, Joe Beckman and wife Dana; four daughters, Renee Hendrick and husband Gene, Michelle Brisendine and husband Mickey, Stephanie Hilbish and husband Tom and Jackie Voit and husband Andy; her daughter in law, Cheryl Beckman; seventeen grandchildren and twenty two great grandchildren.
