She enjoyed sewing and cooking and made many jackets for family and friends along with many stuffed animals and clowns. She was famous for her homemade rolls, fried chicken, apple pie, and fried apricot pies. One of the highlights of the year was planning the great camping trip with family and friends to Beaver Bend State Park in Broken Bow, Oklahoma. where the crew would gather and have the most famous fish fry.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James (Jim) Melvin Shadday, in 1993 and one brother Bill Green, in 2003 and her sister Tense Brittain, in 2013.
