Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday, Mar. 5, 2013 at the First Baptist Church in Gladewater, Texas. Burial will be in Chilton Cemetery in Big Sandy, Texas.

Neal Williams was born November 28, 1934 in Gladewater to J.O. Williams, Sr. and Ella Mae Odom Williams. Graduating from Gladewater High School in 1953, Neal married Linda Whatley on July, 16, 1954 in Gladewater. After receiving both his Bachelor’s Degree and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from Baylor University, Neal served active duty as a Lieutenant in the United States Navy from 1960 to 1962.
Neal had a servant’s heart, loved the Lord, and was passionate about helping and caring for others.
As an ordained minister, he and Linda served as missionaries in Central America from 1987 to 1991. They moved to Amarillo in 2001 to be near family. Neal was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Linda; a son, Kenneth Williams of Austin, two daughters, Terri Reid and husband Dal of Amarillo and Traci Ratcliff of Canyon; two brothers, J.O. Williams, Jr. and wife Joyce of Gladewater and Jerry Williams of Longview; eight grandchildren, Joshua Ratcliff and wife Lacee of Amarillo, Jessi Junell and husband Cobey of Allen, Josey Ratcliff of Canyon, Colin Reid and wife Jessica of Boston, Chase Reid and wife Lauren of Knoxville, Molly Epp and husband Adam of Bozeman, Tess Williams of Austin and Luke Williams of San Marcos and five great grandchildren.
