Natividad Ortega Contreras passed away on Saturday, March 15, 2014. Services will be at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 19, 2014 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.
Natividad was born on August 7, 1930 to Agustin and Estefana Ortega in Chamberino, New Mexico. Natividad was an ordained pastor in Iglesia Bautista Betel in Liberal, Kansas. He also worked as a welder. Natividad loved carpentry and working with wood. He also enjoyed being a mechanic and working on and repairing cars.
Survivors include his wife Carmen; two daughters, Mireya Ortega of Lincoln, Nebraska and Janie Barrera and husband Demetrio of Amarillo; five grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
