Myrtle “Nannie” Holdaway passed away on November 18, 2022. She was born to General Columbus Lee and Barbra Hager Lee on April 1st, 1920 in Duke Oklahoma. She married Oby Carl Holdaway on June 3rd, 1944. When she was in school she played 3 vs. 3 basketball getting her nose broken 3 times, and into her 70 she will be remembered for playing basketball and volleyball with the church kids. She enjoyed watching the Mavericks and Dallas Cowboys. Her labor of love was cooking and sewing for the family. She loved going on girls’ trips to Nashville and Albuquerque and Cripple Creek to play penny slots.
Myrtle is survived by her daughter, Sharon (David) Graham, son-in-law Kenneth Morris, and adoptive daughter Kathy Garten. Seven grandkids Stacye (Scott) Osborn, Scott (Mattie) Morris, Deana (Steve) Patty, Jeff (Meredith) Morris, Brian (Courtney) Morris, Shawna (James) Merrill, Shelley (Randy) Evers. Also 18 Great-grandkids, and 7 Great-Great grandkids.
She is preceded by her parents, General Columbus and Barbra Lee, husband Oby Carl Holdaway, son Jackie Holdaway, daughter Barbara Morris, and great grandson Joshua Morris.
