Moises Martinez Garcia, 70, of Amarillo died on Thursday, December 11, 2014. Funeral services will be at 2:30 pm, Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery.
Moises Garcia was born on August 28, 1944 to Benjamin and Florence Garcia. He is from Morton and married his wife, Irma on April 7, 1979 in Hereford. Moises owned and operated Garcia Construction Company for over 40 years doing demolition work for the cities of Amarillo and Canyon. He also did demolition work for Amarillo College and TSTI and helped demolish the old Air Force base. Moises was a self made man who worked hard building his company and his home. He loved antiques and old radios. Moises was a jack of all trades. Moises loved his family and was a man of his word and a well respected man.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister.
He is survived by his wife, Irma of the home; a daughter Crystal Garcia and a son Dominique Garcia, all of Amarillo and a brother Benjamin Garcia Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Tuesday, December 16, 2014 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel.
