Modesta Trevino Deleon, 81, died on Saturday, September 20, 2014. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, September 24, 2014 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel with Eleazar Lara of Holy Ghost Victory Praise Church officiating. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.
Modesta Trevino Deleon was born on February 24, 1933 in Robstown to Manuel and Leonires Trevino. Modesta loved going to garage sales and dancing. She also loved attending Word of Faith Church. Modesta's greatest love was taking care of and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three children, Julio Deleon Jr., Manuel Deleon and Sandra Gomez; three sisters, Virginia Trevino, Ramona Lara and Frances Sapulveda and five brothers, Juan Trevino, Lupe Trevino, Ramon Trevino, Jose Maria Trevino (Chemo) and Manuel Trevino Jr.
She is survived by two daughters, Rosa Tristan of Houston and Janie Garcia of Amarillo; seven sons, Mario Deleon of Carrizo Springs, Johnny Gomez of Whitehouse,TX, Gino Deleon, Amador Deleon, Freddie Gomez, Vidal Gomez and Joe Torres, all of Amarillo; thirty six grandchildren, fifty four great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
