Miles Wayne Linville, 72, of Amarillo died Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012.
Service will be at 3 p.m. Saturday in LaGrone-Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors Coulter Road Chapel. Burial will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors, Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St.
Mr. Linville was born Nov. 19, 1940, in Del Norte, Colo., to Miles And Pauline Linville. He attended school and graduated in 1958 from Del Norte High School. Wayne married Gwynn Kinsey on June 19, 1960. They had been married 52 years at the time of his passing. Wayne loved hunting, fishing and camping. He enjoyed working on cars back when a man could still work on them. Mr. Linville loved playing cards with his grandchildren. He was employed by Albertsons as a meat cutter until his retirement in 2003. He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Gwynn; three daughters, Jeanette Irlbeck and husband Dennis of Amarillo, Dana Thomson and husband Curtis of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Joyce Wright and husband Jody of Cedar Park; a son, Donald Linville of Amarillo; three brothers, Darrell Linville and wife Lora, Robert Linville and wife Berdie, all of Denver, and Larry Linville of Palm Springs, Calif.; and three grandchildren, Mackenzie and Kristen Linville and Kelby Irlbeck.
The family suggests memorials be to the lymphoma division of American Cancer Society.
