Mildred Cahill

Mildred "Missy" Louise Cahill, 100 of Amarillo passed away on Monday, July 23, 2018. Viewing will begin at 12:00 pm on Wednesday with visitation from 5:00 to 6:30 pm at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday July 26, 2018 in Panhandle Cemetery, Panhandle, Texas with Mr. Dick Marcear officiating. Arrangements are under the personal care of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter Road.

Mildred was born on June 11, 1918, along with a twin brother, to Nathan and Blanche Abbott in Burkburnett, Texas. She married Lawrence Roy Cahill on May 9, 1937 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was called Missy by family and close friends. She was a beautician where she operated Missy Beauty Shop. Mildred also an excellent homemaker where she always keep a nice home and was a great cook. She loved her family. She was a member of Church of Christ at The Colonies.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter Sally Louise Smith, three brothers and three sisters.

Mrs. Cahill is survived by her two sons, Roy Cahill and wife Jo Ellen, and Johnny Cahill; a son in law, Jack Smith; a sister, Sue Beaver; a brother Nathan Abbott; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
