Michael Lynn Smith

Michael Lynn Smith 65 of Amarillo, TX passed away Monday, February 15, 2021. Michael was born August 12, 1955 in Amarillo, TX to J. W. and Lillian Smith.

Michael is survived by his wife, Debbie Smith of Amarillo, TX; his children, Amanda Smith of Amarillo, TX, Michelle Smith of San Antonio, TX, Makela Bernardo and husband Luis of Long Beach, CA; his brothers and sisters, Jimmy Smith of Vernon, TX, Jean Williams of Longview, TX, James Smith of Seattle, WA, Felicia Mitchell of Amarillo, TX, Charles Lax of Amarillo, TX, Craig Johnson of Amarillo, TX, Johnnie Johnson of Amarillo, TX and Connie Drayden of Longview, TX.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Marcus Red.

Michael attended Langston University in Langston, OK. He was employed with the AISD, and he was a proud member of St. John the Baptist Church. Michael  was a Dallas Cowboy fan and enjoyed fishing, playing pool and dominos.
