Michael L. "Mike" McBroom

Michael L. “Mike” McBroom, 52 of Amarillo passed away on November 2, 2011. His funeral service will be at 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 5, 2011 at LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter with Pastor Terry McCaffrey officiating.
Mike was born February 23, 1959 in Wichita Falls to Joseph and Jerri McBroom. He grew up in Electra and Canyon and attended Canyon High School. He was a hard working man who enjoyed owning and operating his own trucking business, “Trio Truckin” for many years and he loved music, trucks and boats. Mike had a great sense of humor and always had a joke or a “tall tale” to tell. His favorite thing to do was to spend time with his grandchildren. He was a good-hearted man of strong faith in Christ. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to cherish his memories are his wife, Leesa Hooks McBroom; a daughter, Reagan Michelle Lauhoff and husband Shannon; three sons, Joseph McBroom, Dusty McBroom and his wife Keisha and Zachary Rutledge; a brother John Guadaglnolo and his wife Delores; two sisters, Debra McBroom and partner Susie and Kelli Holbert Culp and her husband Mark; his grandchildren, Hallie Lauhoff, Caden Lauhoff, Breeah McBroom and Sage McBroom and many loving nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Friday evening at the funeral home, 8310 S. Coulter.
