Michael Eugene Gallegos, 58, of Amarillo passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017. Rosary will be said at 6:00 pm, Thursday, October 19, 2017 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Memorial Mass will be at 10:30 am, Friday, October 20, 2017 at St. Mary's Catholic Curch with Father Grant Spinhirine as Celebrant and Monsignor Harold Waldo as Co-Celebrant. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter.
Michael Gallegos was born on December 26, 1958 in Albuquerque, NM to Mike and Rose Ann Gallegos. He owned and operated Gallegos Painting and Wallpapering since 1977 and he was an avid outdoorsman. Michael loved to go to the lake where he loved to fish and ski. He played golf and disc golf. He also loved hot rods and drag racing, but most of all, he loved his sons and his two grandchildren.
He is survived by his parents; two sons, Michael Lee Gallegos and Gregory Scott Gallegos; two brothers, Raymond Gallegos and Christopher Gallegos; two sisters, Celeste Connelly and husband Ronald and Cynthia Contreras and husband Ephraim and his two grandchildren Bailey Issacs and Landon Gallegos.
