Michael Todd Booth

Michael Todd Booth, 45, of Amarillo died on Sunday, March 8, 2015. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm, Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Hillside Christian Church South Campus, 6901 S. Bell St. with Dr. Howard Batson of First Baptist Church of Amarillo officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens cemetery. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter.
Michael was born on May 2, 1969 in Oklahoma City. He graduated from Gruver High School. After graduating from high school, he worked for Cargill Industries. He then went to Diesel Mechanic school in Houston and after graduating went to work for Groendyke Trucking. Michael moved back to Gruver and began his career as a paramedic and member of the fire department. He then moved to Amarillo and went to work for AMS, where he worked his way up to supervisor and flight medic with Lifestar. He loved to take the Lifestar helicopter to different hospitals and show how it worked to the children. Michael loved his children with all of his heart and he would do anything for them. He loved to go boating and fishing, shoot pool and spending time with his children in the jeep.
Michael was preceded in death by his mother, Deidra Deakin; sister DeNetta Hagerman and brother in law, Larry Hagerman.
He is survived by his children, daughter Megan and son, Wesley; his father, Johnny Booth and wife Selma of Richardson; his step father, James Deakin and wife Sue of Amarillo; three sisters, Julie Babe and husband Steve of Murray, NE, Lori Schultz of Amarillo and Lynette Vanhorn and husband Chris of Lucas, TX; three brothers, Chris Deakin and wife Jessie of Spearman, Doug Booth and wife Lori of Wylie, TX and Jeff Booth of Lucas, TX; Sabrina, the mother of Megan and Wesley and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:30 to 7:00 pm, Wednesday, March 11, 2015 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel.
