Mary Grayson

December 19, 1929 — February 17, 2016

Mary J. Grayson, 86, of Pasadena, Texas died on Wednesday, February 17, 2016. Services will be at 3:00 pm, Monday, February 22, 2016 in LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Danny Mize,  Hospice Care of the Southwest, officiating. LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, Coulter Road Chapel, 8310 S Coulter Street.

Mary was born on December 19, 1929 in Paducah, Texas to Earl and Eunice Lancaster. Shortly after graduating  from  Dumas High School,  she married Frank Norrell. After his death in 1953, she married Erskin Grayson 1956.  Mary was a caregiver and a homemaker where she took care of her children and grandchildren, she even worked briefly at Dumas Junior High School Cafeteria.   In 1976, she and her husband, Erskin, moved to their farm in Allison, Texas where she enjoyed a large garden and they raised cattle and pigs. In 2001 she moved  to Pasadena to help her son  Terry with his family.  She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Dumas, Texas. Mary enjoyed sewing and also she loved watching NFL football favoring the  Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos and Houston Texans.

She was preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands, Frank Norrell and Erskin Grayson, two sons, Leslie Grayson and Terry Norrell, and two brothers, Gayland Lancaster and R. B. Lancaster.

She survived by her son and daughter in law, Kirby and Cinomon Norrell; daughter and son in law, Sue and Kelly Eslinger; daughter in law, Kimberly Norrell; ten  grandchildren, Eric Huerta, Tamara Milbern and her husband, Kip, Kirby Lynn Norrell II, Crystal Talbot and her husband, Chris, Shawnda Reinhardt and her husband, Jarrod, Justin Norrell and his wife, Teresa,  Stefanie  Bocanagra and her husband, Aldo, Jared Norrell, Ben Norrell, and Cody Norrell; 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to Hospice Care of the Southwest or the American Diabetes Association.
