Her service will be 2:00 PM Thursday, March 29, 2012 at LaGrone-Blackburn-Shaw Martin Road Chapel with Rev. Nancy Moore officiating.
Martha was born on December 17, 1926 in Turkey, Texas to Garland O. Coker and Jesse Kitching Coker. She graduated from Quitaque High School and worked in Amarillo Veteran’s Hospital where she met Roy Cecil Crumley. They married on December 2, 1949 at San Jacinto Methodist Church in Amarillo where she later served as a Lay witness speaker. They lived in Big Springs, TX and Blossom, Texas before returning to Amarillo. She was a devoted mother and wife. She also worked for the Amarillo Helium Plant, Amarillo Air Force Base Exchange Post and Texas Department of Public Safety. She was an active member of Southwest Cowboy Poet Association, publishing a book of poetic writings. Martha was a member of Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church where she especially loved teaching Sunday School.
She's preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Roy Cecil Crumley; sisters, Rosalyn M. Acheson and Mildred A. Starkey Landry.
Her survivors include her children, Larry Edward Crumley and wife Sharon of Katy, TX, Carl Lee Crumley of Amarillo; Cristi Ann Bull and husband Douglas of Amarillo; brother, Bob Coker; 4 grandchildren, Bradley and Brian Crumley of Katy, Texas and Jared F. Bull and wife Amanda of Amarillo and Casie A. Bull of Amarillo and 3 great grandchildren, Katelyn, Micah and Lucas. She was loved dearly and was an encouragement to many.
