Martha Elizabeth Arrant, 89, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma died on Monday, April 24, 2016. Graveside services will be held at 12:00 pm, Friday, April 29,2016 in Llano Cemetery with Lance Herrington, senior adult pastor of Paramount Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter.
Martha was born on June 12, 1926 in Plainview, Texas to Melvin A. and Mary B. McCraw. After high school she attended Texas Tech University where she received a bachelor's degree. Martha married James H. Arrant on March 5, 1949 in Lubbock, Texas. She attended Paramount Baptist Church where she signed for the hearing impaired church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed painting with oils and painting on china.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James H. Arrant, a son Rodger Neal Arrant, and nine brothers and sisters.
Mrs. Arrant is survived by her two sons, Gayland Arrant and his wife Sandy, of Sanger, Texas, and Bryan Arrant, of Oklahoma City; a daughter in law, Debi Arrant, of Amarillo; six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
