Marie Crafton of Amarillo, died on Wednesday, November 25, 2015. Memorial service will be held on December 11, 2015 at Kenbridge Baptist Church, Kenbridge, Virginia. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S Coulter Road.
Marie was born on February 2, 1920 in Hope, Arkansas to Silas and Hattie McDowell. She married Dennis H. Crafton on August 4, 1946. She supported her husband's military career by traveling with him to various duty stations. She attended Paramount Baptist Church. Marie was a loving person and will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister and four brothers.
She is survived by her daughters and their spouses, Sandra Smith of Midlothina, Virginia, Denise and Terry Collier, of Mena, Arkansas, and Donna and Doug Johnston, of Amarillo, Texas; a brother, Lawrence McDowell, of Arlington, Texas; six grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.
