Marianne Reynolds passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2014, with her children by her side at her home in Amarillo, Texas.
She was born on March 28, 1938 in Berlin, Germany. At the age 16, she moved to Amarillo and became a U.S. citizen. At a young age, she became a widow and left to raise her 5 children on her own. She put herself through nursing school and graduated with Honors from Amarillo College. For 30 years, she was a registered nurse in the pediatric department at Northwest Hospital. She enjoyed spending time with family, her pets, gardening, traveling, photography, reading, needlework, and playing Words with Friends.
Marianne Reynolds is survived by her sister Helga Beckham; her children and their spouses, Jeff Reynolds; Rebecca and Dan Babcock; Ronald Reynolds; Brian and Andrea Reynolds; Alan and Maria Reynolds; 8 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her mother Erna Baker and her husband Fred Reynolds
At her request, the memorial service will be held at the family gravesite at Llano Cemetery on Friday, August 15, 2014 at 10:00 am with Dr. G.A. Roach officiating.
