Maria "Mary" Escamilla

Maria “Mary” Escamilla, 80, of Amarillo, Texas passed away Friday, April 30, 2021. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel with Pastor Jeff Pies officiating. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery East. Mary was born May 30, 1940 in Amarillo, Texas to Dolores and Carmen Malacara. She was such a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to watch her soap operas (her stories) and cooking shows. Mary will be deeply missed by all who love and cherish her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dolores and Carmen Malacara; five brothers, Fransisco, Elias, Daniel, Dolores and Paul Malacara and one sister, Luz Malacara

She is survived by her husband, Doroteo “Dale” Escamilla; three sons, Dale Jr. and spouse Yolanda Escamilla, Samuel Escamilla and David and spouse Tania Escamilla; three daughters, Linda and spouse Chris Pollet, Margie and spouse Roy Vasquez and Elizabeth and spouse Shannon Meeker; one brother, David Malacara; two sisters, Lupe Serna and Virginia Gomez; her 7 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
