Margarita Gutierrez, 58, of Amarillo died on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 in El Paso, Texas. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, August 13, 2016 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jose Gomez, celebrant. Burial will follow at Llano Cemetery East. Arrangements are under the direction of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.
Margarita was born on December 19, 1957 to Mateo and Juanita Orranita in Mexico where she grew up. She married Juan Gutierrez and they moved to Amarillo in 1980. She owned and operated a small business in Amarillo. She was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Margarita was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gerardo Orrantia.
She is survived by her husband, Juan Gutierrez; her children, Juan Gutierrez and wife Cristina, Mayra Guillen and husband, Daniel and Miguel Gutierrez; six brothers, Ramon Orrantia, Martin Orrantia, Antonio Orrantia, Ismael Orrantia, Gustavo Orrantia and Joel Orrantia; a sister, Corina Orrantia; four grandchildren, Jazlyn, Natali, Johnny and Fernanda.
