Mrs. Wyatt was born at home in Monroe County, Mississippi on May 1, 1918 to the late Newton Elmer Owings (1893-1988) and Audrey Mae Lusby Owings (1896-1921). She Married Leo B. Wyatt (1919-1991) on October 18, 1944 in Aberdeen, Mississippi. She was a licensed beautician with her own beauty shop, and platform for Christian witness, where she shampooed, cut and combed hair, and saved souls, until her retirement at age 88. She attended Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church where she was a member and Sunday School teacher for many, many years. Saving souls, and being a tireless Christian witness, continued until her last breath. In death, as in life, Margaret was a prayer warrior for all. Her life was reflection of Proverbs 31:28, 29. "Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: "There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!"
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her grandmother, Fanny Allison Lusby (1857-1950), who raised her, as well as her husband of 47 years, four siblings and two great-grandchildren.
Survivors include a sister, Mary Dean Dill of West Point, MS, and children Billie Jean Chapman and husband John of Austin, TX, Sara Dean Messer and husband Tom of Claude, TX, John Leo Wyatt and wife Gail of Amarillo, TX, Tommy Ray Wyatt and wife Cathy of Eaton, CO, Karen Frances McMahon and husband Kevin of Lubbock, TX, Ricky Lynn Wyatt and wife Gwen of Amarillo, TX, 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
