Marcelo Mendoza

Marcelo Mendoza, 66, of Amarillo, went on his final ride to heaven on Sunday, October 4, 2020.  He was born on January 16, 1954 in Porvenir, Mexico to Reymundo and Agripina Martinez Mendoza.  Marcelo had a deep love for all of his family, friends and motorcycles.  He never met a stranger in all his years of life.  He had the biggest heart and was always ready to help any and every one he could.  He was always the life of the party with stories that only he could make sound so interesting and funny.  Surely one of a kind.

Survivors include five daughters, Amanda Mendoza Sandoval, Melinda Mendoza, Roni Mendoza Pena all of Lubbock and Jennifer Espinoza and Megan Mendoza of Amarillo; three sons, James Campos and Adrian Campos of Amarillo and Justin Campos of San Antonio; brothers, Jose Nieves Mendoza of Hereford and Armundo Mendoza, Lupe Mendoza, Elias Mendoza all of Amarillo; sisters, Ollvia Aguirre, Victoria Roacha, Cecilia DelaCerda, Dora Renteria, Minnie Salinas, Amparo Aranda, Stella Alarcon all of Amarillo and Angie Moreno of Dallas; 27 granchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

A Rosary will be 6 PM Wednesday, October 7, 2020 and 6 PM Thursday, October 8, 2020 at LaGrone Blackburn-Shaw Funeral Directors on Martin Road.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Friday, October 9, 2020 at San Jose Catholic Church in Hereford.  Burial will be 2:00 PM Friday at Llano Cemetery in Amarillo.
