Manuel Felix Miranda 71, of Amarillo, passed away Wednesday November 20, 2019 surrounded by his family.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00AM Tuesday November 26, 2019 at St. Laurence Catholic Church. A Rosary service will be held Monday November 25, at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors Coulter Road Chapel. Burial will be held in Llano Cemetery.
Manuel was born February 2, 1948 in Guymon, Oklahoma to Dave and Della Bryant. He was a long time resident of Amarillo where he proudly owned Miranda’s Painting and Contracting for forty years. He took great pride in his company and cared deeply for his customers. Manuel enjoyed camping, casinos, and John Wayne movies. He was a diehard Dallas Cowboys fan. Manuel loved to cook especially for the holidays, making bread and peanut brittle for everyone. His family remembers how he could always light up a room and how he never met a stranger. He has a heart for his family, always there to guide them and build them up. His wisdom was abundant. Manuel was passionate about his family and it was his priority that they were taken care of. He always had a big smile on his face and loved joking around with his grandchildren, whom were the light of his life. Manuel was preceded in death by his parents; one brother Donnie Miranda; two sisters Marie Rogers, and Susie Miranda.
Survivors include his wife, Anselma Miranda of the home; three daughters, Melissa Miranda, Kristie Moore and her husband Robert and Miranda Ann Miranda, all of Amarillo; two sisters, Janie Robinson of Roswell, New Mexico and Candy Kirkland of Alabama; two brothers, Ernie Miranda of Las Vegas, Nevada and Pete Miranda of Albuquerque, New Mexico; seven grandchildren, Brittani Medina, Manuel Felix Miranda II, Tori Miranda, MaSadies Byers, Malina Ortiz, Kaylee Jennings and Bryant Jennings; eleven great-grandchildren, Javier, Brieauna, Eveah, Novah, Brecklynn, Alexiea, Keith Jr. Lyric, Myah-Cash, Felix, and Lincoln.
