Loy Del Woolsey

Loy Del Woolsey, 75, of Fritch, passed away on Friday, October 29, 2021 in Amarillo.  He was born on September 13, 1946 in Sayre, OK to the late Floyd Woolsey and Opal M. Leslie Woolsey.  Loy was a loving husband to Donna Welch Woolsey, who he 56 years ago in Amarillo.  He was a loving and hardworking man and his children claim that he was the best dad ever.  Loy was very close to all of his grandchildren.  Although he was sometimes “bullheaded”, he was mostly just a big man that was very soft spoken.

He is survived by his wife, Donna Woolsey of Fritch; one daughter, Tammy Basa and husband John of Amarillo; two sons, Mickey Woolsey of Fritch and Tim Woolsey and wife Sheila of Fritch; 16 grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
