Louise M. Fritts, 87, of Amarillo passed from this life on Tuesday, January 9, 2018. Family and friends will gather to celebrate her life at 2:00 pm Friday, January 12, 2018 in LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are under the personal care of LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter Road.
Louise was born on August 28, 1930 in Deaf Smith County to Mr. and Mrs. S. A. McGowen. She married Tommy Weathers on August 1946 in Clovis, New Mexico. Louise worked as a secretary and office manager for numerous physicians in Lockney, Plainview and Amarillo. She later married Marvin Fritts Jr. and together they traveled the world. She enjoyed golfing and she was an active member of the Canyon Country Club. Louise was a member of First Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, both husbands, a brother and two sisters.
Survivors include her children, Linda Giles, Barbara Bloys, John and Donna Weathers and Nancy Weathers; grandchildren, Melissa and Tom Clark, Laura and Jason Bird, Kathy and Jim Ramge and Julie and Dennis Kinkead and four great grandchildren.
The family will receive guests on Thursday, January 11, 2017 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
