Lonnie Purcell, 74, of Amarillo died on Sunday, May 24, 2015. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am, Thursday, May 28, 2015 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Coulter Road Chapel. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter.
Lonnie was born on May 20, 1941 in Tatterall, Georgia to James and Louise Purcell. He proudly served his country in the United State Air Force. He married the love of his life, Chuntana on April 19, 1966 at the American Embassy in Thailand and they were married for forty eight years. Lonnie loved to go fishing and camping but he really enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandsons.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Linda Gail.
He is survived by his wife, Chuntana; a son, Dee Purcell of Dallas; a daughter, Tana Silva and husband Matt of Amarillo; a sister, Sonya Hallman and husband Ron of Florida and three grandsons, Gavin, Garren and Bennett.
