Lonita Carol Leal, 60, of Amarillo died on Tuesday, November 25, 2014. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m.,  Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel with Myron McMurray officiating. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 1505 Martin Road.

Lonita Leal was born on June 12, 1954 in Amarillo to Loney Stout and Juanita Forest.  Lonita lived in Amarillo all of her life. She worked for Levi Strauss and then for IBP for 21 years. After retiring from IBP, Lonita went to work for the City of Amarillo in the Traffic department for 17 years. She met Daniel in 1975 while working at IBP and they were married on October 19, 1977 in Amarillo and celebrated 37 years of marriage. Lonita was an avid football fan of the Palo Duro Dons and Dallas Cowboys. Lonita loved to go camping with Daniel in Palo Duro Canyon on the weekends. She also loved working  in the gardens planting roses and sitting on the back porch and watching and listening to the birds. Lonita's greatest love was for her family and grandchildren and her dog "Misty".

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Betty Hodan and Judy Sheldon and two brothers, Tommy Mcewan and Loney Stout Jr.

She is survived by her husband Daniel of the home; three daughters, Terri Moore and husband Charles, Rebecca Barrios and husband Efrain and Pamela Morales and husband Gilbert; one son, Michael Bollinger and wife Dora; a sister, Brenda Wagner and husband Larry; a sister in law Denice Stout; eight grandchildren, Mathew, Joshua, Cody, Esperanza, Fabian, Isaiah, Lilyanna and a new grandchild on the way and numerous neices and nephews, all of Amarillo.

The family will be receiving friends from 5-7 pm, Monday, December 1, 2014 at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Martin Road Chapel, 1505 Martin Road.
