Linda Lee Young

On Wednesday, October 26th, 2022, Linda (Gumm) Young, age 72, passed away peacefully. Linda was born on February 21, 1950, in Forest County to Virgil (Smokey) and Regina (Stewart) Gumm. On December 10, 2000, Linda married the love of her life Ron Young. It was no surprise to anyone who knew her that Linda loved being a mother and grandparent. Linda also enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking, knitting, her three dogs, her coffee, and spending time with family and friends.

She raised her two kids with love and passed all that love on to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a mother to many and a friend to all that knew her. Always, only a phone call away. Willing to listen and help in any way she could.

She is survived by her husband Ron Young of Amarillo, Texas, son James (Linda) Cline Argonne, WI., daughter Jody Retzlaff (Rich) Crandon, WI., five grandchildren: Jimmie Bradley, Jenna (Sean) Aderholdt, Jesse Cline, Julia (Ethan) Cline, and Mason Retzlaff, great-grandchildren: Trenton, Preston Ariana, Kiera, and Liam. Her sister Sally (Dave) Lyons, brother Virgil Gumm, sister Diane (Mike) Gee, brother Jim (Ann) Gumm, step-children Kathy, Kenny, Tony, Michael, Jamie, Beckie, Matt, Alex. Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Toney (Susan), Bill, Steve (Brenda), Doug (Linda), Jeff (Susie), Tim (Lisa), Gene (Joann), Raymond (Angie), Tommy (Shawna) Rita, Carol (Bill) and a special aunt, Aunt Cookie. Many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil (Smokey) and Regina, and grandparents Florence Stewart, and Art Stewart, sister-in-law Debbie, and brother-in-laws Bobby, and Harry.

Services in Amarillo will be Thursday, November 3rd at 2:00 pm at LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Home Coulter Road Chapel.

Services in Crandon will be held on November 7th, 2022, at Praise Chapel. Visitation is from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, with services at 1:00 pm with graveside service at Crandon Lakeside Cemetery, with luncheon to follow.
