Linda Kay Stinson, 73, of Amarillo died on September 2, 2014. Graveside Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Llano East cemetery with Dr. Howard K. Batson of First Baptist Church officiating. Arrangements are by LaGrone Blackburn Shaw Funeral Directors, 8310 S. Coulter.
Linda was born on December 14, 1940 in Durant, Oklahoma to Louis and Gwendolyn Barnes. She graduated from Spearman High School in 1958. Linda worked at First Baptist Church in the childcare department. She loved babies and especially toddlers. She loved watching her soap operas and was an avid reader of soap opera digest. Linda loved to talk to people and was always happy and making jokes.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Howard Stinson, a son, Grant Barnes and a sister, Sue Barnes.
She is survived by two sisters, Sylvia Warmbrodt of Dallas and Pattie Meyer of Borger; two nephews, Danny Smith and Randy Warmbrodt and four nieces, Michelle Bailey, Gayle Warmbrodt, Kelli Brown and Shae Lingo.
