Linda C. Luman moved to her heavenly address on January 8th, 2023 at the age of 91, surrounded by family.
Linda was born December 13th, 1931 in Paducah, Tx. Linda spent her early years in Stegall until moving to Dumas with her parents, Earnest and Dorcas Slape. Linda married Roland Coleman and started her family, including Brenda Sue Combs, Donna Gail King, and Kemmy Don Coleman.
Linda started her career as a telephone operator at General Bell in Dalhart, then moved to Amarillo where she worked for Southwestern Bell until she retired in 1995. Linda met and married her elementary school sweetheart, Jimmy (Sonny) Luman in May of 1997. Linda and Sonny were lifelong members of Pleasant Valley Christian Church, where Linda also served as a deaconess. Linda and Sonny loved to travel and had many adventures together.
Linda loved to dress up every chance she could and was a true matriarch of the family and lived up to that title in every sense of the word. Linda touched the lives of every one of her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Brenda Combs, and granddaughter Fawn Combs. Linda is survived by her children, Kemmy Don Coleman and Donna Gail King, 7 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way. Linda will be sorely missed by everyone who was blessed to have known her.
Memorial services will be at 2:00 pm, Friday, January 13th, 2023 at Pleasant Valley Christian Church (327 E Central Ave), followed by a private graveside service.
